Trike-A-Thon

Every summer we hold our annual trike-a-thon. In recent years, we have raised funds for our sister school in Haiti. In previous years, monies from the event have been donated to City of Hope Hospital in honor of a student here, St Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Our students get to learn about others in the world less fortunate than themselves. As well as having fun raising money, we are raising awareness of diseases and disasters that affect children in our own community and across the globe.

All students participate in the trike-a-thon. Families have the chance to collect sponsorships and/or make a donation as children ride laps around our bike yard. The event takes place over two days, so that all students can participate. The opportunity is taken to discuss bicycle safety with our children.
