Summer Programming

St Mark’s Preschool is open year-round and we do not close for the summer. Our curriculum is maintained throughout July & August in all rooms and for all ages. This includes the continuation of kindergarten preparation with a combination of phonics and sight word learning, for our pre-K classes. However, this is supplemented with fun activities to make the summer a very special time here.



A selection of activities from previous summers include:

• Water play - sprinklers, slip 'n' slides (for our older children)
• Visits from a petting farm
• Visits from Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, complete with touch tank
• Special artwork activity
• Luau Day
• Puppet Day
• Circus Day
• Olympics Day
• Rivers in the Sandbox Week
• 4th July BBQ
• An end of summer celebration

Summer calendars vary from year to year and will be available late spring.

While some of our students take extended vacations during the summer months, some openings become available for summer only enrollment, on a monthly or weekly basis. Please enquire at the school office (email or phone 818-242-8045) for information and availability.
